Festo Pneumatic Workstation
Engineering and automation
Canterbury Christ Church University
General description
The Festo Pneumatic workstation is a system that uses compressed air to transport around a given circuit. This allows the user to understand and model the impact of various pressures such as pipe bends, introduction or removal of valves and much more which can be scaled to a larger setting.
Technical description
Pneumatics are used in a number of tools and instruments that generate or utilize pressure. For example, Drills, Breaks, Atomizers and more. Pneumatics is how air pressure powers and moves something. Essentially, pneumatics puts compressed air to practical use by moving applications like the tools and machinery used in the engineering, manufacturing and construction industries.
