General description

Maker Space can be used to support various physical tests for drag resistance, aerodynamic testing. Typically used in Aviation, Space Travel and Car Manufacturing, this dynamic wind tunnel can be used as part of a larger battery of tests to support prototype design and manufacturing.

Technical description

An object will be placed in the centre of the tunnel, and with the use of powerful fans and injected smoke or dye users are able to understand how the given item displaces air throughout it’s ‘travel’. The item will also typically carry a form of instrument to measure the forces impacted on it produced by the air it is displacing, while simultaneously having visual representation from the injected smoke or dye.
