About Alberto Martellini

Alberto Martellini is an experienced commercial finance professional with a strong background in strategy development, financial planning, and fundraising. He holds an MBA from Warwick Business School and has worked with a diverse range of clients including private companies, government organizations, and non-profit entities.

Alberto's professional journey includes leadership positions at American Express and a boutique management consultancy specialising in cash management and treasury. In addition to that, he has served as an Innovation and Growth Advisor at Innovate UK Business Growth, where he focused on securing equity, debt, and grant funding for early-stage businesses.

Currently, Alberto is the Ecosystem Director at Founder Institute, a leading pre-seed and seed accelerator program.

With a deep understanding of finance, Alberto is a trained professional from the UK Association of Corporate Treasurers and a member of the Corporate Finance Institute. He is also accredited in the UK EIS/SEIS investment schemes for early-stage businesses.

Beyond his professional achievements, Alberto is passionate about sustainable development. He has served as a Non-Executive Director at a credit union, where he played a key role in the acquisition of Kent Community Energy by Wave Community Bank. Currently, Alberto sits on the board of Kent Community Energy, a socially-driven enterprise regulated by the FCA.
