About
Julia has had a diverse career, starting out in broadcast journalism and strategic communications before shifting into food and sustainability. She founded, grew and sold Fridge of Plenty, an urban farm shop and online retailer selling the best of local, seasonal and sustainable produce in North London.
She now leads Better Food Traders, a UK-wide network that supports and promotes food traders who sell local, sustainably-grown produce. She is also Chair of the Eating Better alliance, a network of sixty organisations working to accelerate the transition from producing and eating too much meat and dairy to a fairer, healthier and more sustainable food system.
